Sunday in Skansen

Today after an extended Pancake breakfast, we went to Skansen. It is an open air museeum as well as a zoo with many scandinavian animals. With the ferry from Slussen to Djurgarden.

A real moose.

Who is the animal?

Sunny Saturday

Saturday was a very colourful day. I found my earrings match my table decoration perfectly.

Than the weather was so nice (eventhough freezing cold) that nothing could keep us from going outside.
We had a little walk in the city centre, found the most reddest tree in Stockholm and ate fishburgers for lunch, before the pigeons ate them.

Visitors from Helsinki

Last tuesday we got some visitors from Helsinki. The MEDes guys that are studying over there at the moment came over with the famous ferry on a school trip. Unfortunately did they only stay for a couple of hours so we only had a cup of coffee and a quick drop in a couple of shops.
Still nice to see you guys!!!

Orrefors

Since our new project for the next couple of weeks will be a competition for Orrefors, swedens most famous glass manufactorer, Konstfack invited us on a two day trip to Småland, swedens glassriket. We went to viste the Orrefors glassblowing factory, to see how glass is produced, blown and cut or engraved.Coffeebreak in the countryside.Lunch at OrreforsVisite at the factory, and then glass, glass, glass...Dinner at a funny swedish/thai restaurant in the middle of nowhere. In the evening we visited another design school in Pukeberg (not kidding, its really called like that).Today we went to see the Kosta Boda factory where more artistic glass is handblown and also sold in big outlet shops.(But i didn't buy anything)They cut the melted glass with scissors.Afterwards we went to the cellar of the Smålands glassmuseum in Växjö, where one could find a lot of strange oddities.Yes it is what you think it is.

Stockholm Stadhuset

Last wednesday the major of Stockholm invited all the exchange students in the city to a buffet in the City Hall of Stockholm. Its actually the place where the nobelprize is given every year (is it?). We didin't get a prize but free booze and very good food.Everybody dressed up!!!Ben the frenchman
